Glam Winter

I must confess I have a thing for all the sequins, lace, leather silver, gold, bronze, fur, velvet, dark rich colors etc. that hits the stores every Autumn.  I walked into Monki today and I was blown away by all the glam and glitter. I really fell like we should wear these item at other times than New Years and Christmas. We should all wear golden suits on a daily basis. Would make Autumn a hell of a lot more fun.

Alexander Wang x H&M More updates

Ad material has finally been released from the upcoming collection. Mikael Jansson is the photographer responsible for these kick-ass pictures. The models are kick-boxer Rivaldino dos Santos, soccer player Andy Caroll and models Joan Small, Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana and Natasha Poly (who are currently to be seen in H&M's Fall 2014 Campaign). Not sure how wearable I feel the clothes are, but the pictures look awesome.  

A TV commercial and an online video will also be part of the ad campaign. They'll be released on Octorber 30.

Alexander Wang x H&M update

They sure know how to build up suspense regarding this collection. At first we got a sneak peak of some boxing gloves, a yoga mat and some other random items which didn't really tell us much about the actual clothes. A couple of days ago Rihanna showed off the first look from the collection.Npw the October number of Vouge Netherlands reveals more looks from the collection. As expected the styles are inspired by sportswear and the color palette is easily accounted for. I think the white blouse is especially beautiful.

OOTD: Blue Skies and Blue Skirts

If you're not comfortable with the midriff trend, this is an alternative way to use the crop top. You just pair it with something high waisted - either a skirt or pants. It was a little cold out today but this outfit would had been cuter without the tights :)

Fall Wishes

I love the color pallet for fall. I normally live by the rule that I shouldn't be afraid of any colors, but truth be told, I'm not that much of a pastel fan. I do love dark green, bordeaux, deep purple and all of the other fall friends. There are so many lovely new arrivals hitting the high street these days. I've picked some (pretty affordable) outfits that I would love to wear for fall (click to enlarge pictures - I know the writing is a little too small). 

No wonder this Matilda coat from Monki is already all over the internet. It's really cool. At some point I have to own these leather shoes from H&M (they are not in stores yet).

I love the color on this H&M coat and the print on this Lexi sweat and Edda skirt.

These Monk ankle boots from Asos are really cool and will match perfectly with all the fall colors.

OOTD: The Old and the New

I've been one lazy blogger lately but today I finally had time for taking some pictures. This outfit really is all that I am about - mixing old and new. I like to find unique items and style them with more modern high street items.

               

The jacket and the necklace are from the thrift shop where I volunteer. 

The pleather skirt is 50 DKK from H&M's final sale, and the (grocery) tote is from Cheap Monday (got it at Weekday for 60 DKK - was 250 DKK). 

The snake print sneakers(Amy grey snake) are from Defeeter and comes in at 399,95 DKK. I found mine at a local shoe store on sale for 200 DKK.

The great weather and Asos' 20 % off on Summer steals kind of got me in a Summer mood. I found this outfit that I would love to wear once the weather gets warmer and you can get a tan.

That Time of Year (Again) - Midseason!

A lot of the high street brands are starting midseason sale these days. Asos, H&M (in stores), Weekday and Cos have already started. & Other Stories will start tomorrow (can't wait) and word is Monki will start theirs on the 3rd. Very close to payday!

Here's an outfit I wouldn't mind getting my hands on. The items go well together but can be used separately. They key to shopping sale is to not go with items that are so much on trend, that they'll be sort of "old" before you can really use them. Go with something classic and timeless (I suck at following my own advise here). 

I know purple is more of a fall color but I think this shirt is gorgeous and because of the light fabric I think it's all right for other season. Been trying to order this from the website but it keeps getting sold out in my size. No wonder when the prize is only 17£ (was 59£ before).

I'm also loving this skirt from Cos and I've just realized I don't own a grey pencil. Elastic waist pleat skirt is 17£ (was 59£).

Really simple, pretty necklace from Weekday. Was 100 DKK now 50 DKK. If you don't have one of these - go get one. It litteraly goes with everything (got one from a thrift shop and it's always my safe-necklace if I don't fell like having a statement kind of day). Sorry about the weird frame on the picture - Blogger and I had some disagreements.

I've actually already bought this H&M Trend knit coatigan. Was  50 % in stores (down from 499,00). It's big and comfy and I can see my self using it all the time as a jacket for spring/summer. This one is a little tricky since it has already been all over the blogs and it's getting a little "old". I'm loving it though. I think the grey/white/black colors make it very wearable at all times despite that fact that it is somewhat of a statement piece. 

There's a lot of pretty shoes on sale at Asos.com. I chose these cause I don't think we've seen the last of cut out shoes and as usual I'm a sucker for shiny things. London rebel cut out lace up flat shoes 273,81 DKK was 391,16 DKK.

I'm in love with this one. Pretty blue animal print.

Black and White with Blue details

OOTD from Monday. This set from H&M Divided Black sold out ridiculously fast (from the Danish stores at least) but is still available online. Top 129,00 DKK and skirt 129,00 DKK.

I styled it with some blue details to make it come to life a little. Blue nail polish also from H&M and blue plastic necklace from a thrift shop. 

Inspo: Some Spring Bombs

I really don't need more spring jackets but that's no reason not to dream a bit. Here are some ideas for the perfect and low budget light bomber jacket.

From H&M and pretty inspired by a H&M Trend bomber which was really popular and hyped a while ago. I actually think this one has a better fit for most people. 299 DKK.

I think this is so cute with the little dogs on it! The quilted texture looks nice too. Quilted dog print bomber jacket from Topshop at 50 £.

Most of my lighter jackets are from thrift shops. You can pick up some pretty nice things really cheap from there (if anyone is from around here I can inform you that Røde Kors in Lyngby is having 50 % off from the 19th). If you aren't much of a thrifter a lot of the vintage stores got great, pretty cheap things too. Ebay is also a winner.
