OOTD: Catching the Thrift

I'm on a little easter holiday with my parents in a little town in Judland. Of course I had to visit the local thrift shop.

Bought this retro knit with white, turquoise and gold pattern on grey and a little cute white bag.

Dots: The Everlasting Retro Trend

Dots seems to be another of those trends that never really gets old. It keeps getting comebacks. This spring is no exception.
What I love about dots is the very retro/vintage feel they often have. You can either go all out on this feeling or pair them with more modern items and silhouettes

I've picked some dotted favorites from the high streets.

Dr. Denim high waist jeans from Asos.com 272,71 DKK (btw, Asos has 25 % off for 48 hours atm)

Chloe dress with dots and stripes from boohoo.com 20 £

I love the retro look of this Gunnel bikini Set from Monki 10 € for the trousers and 15 € for the bra

Very feminine sleeveless shirt from H&M - very cheap 79,95 DKK

Skater skirts are everywhere atm, and they are very wearable cause they look awesome with anything from an oversize knit to a feminine top. This dotty one is from Topshop - 34 £

Cut out dots socks from Asos.com 36,36 DKK

Shirt from Zara with dots and stripes - 22,99 £

Pants from hm.com - 129,00 DKK

OOTD: Eighties Embellished Jeans!

I found these embellished jeans at H&M on mid season sale!

Glittery jeans - H&M Divided black - down from 349 dkk to 100 dkk

I can't decide if I want to keep them though, I sort of really like them, but then again I might be a little too old for glimmering pants.

Donna LaDonna (Chloe Bridges) rocked them in "The Carrie Diaries" (pic: screenshot from the series)

Update 20/03

I decided to keep them and whore them yesterday with a new leopard cardigan also from H&M Divided Black (79,95 dkk) and an old pastel top from Monki:

First Visit to & Other Stories

Yesterday & Other Stories finally opened in Copenhagen! I had work which meant I didn't get to go until today.

I had to see what all the fuss was about and I don't think anyone got disappointed! It's a very beautiful shop with so many nice things. Because it's clothes, shoes, accessories and make-up there is a lot to look at! After I actually had to stand in a queue to get in I had to buy something.

This is what I got:

I've posted this shirt before - I looove it! I call it "I killed nyan cat". 150 dkk

I couldn't afford the dress so I got the next best thing. I have a major crush on this print. 150 dkk

Cute little double ring. 75 dkk.

So, how about Aztec print?

There are certain trends which just keep coming back. The Aztec print is one of them. I'm not sure how I fell about it though. Some of the stuff in the high street stores are really nice but some of it is way too much and you end up looking like a hippie (in a bad way). I think it is important to either go all the way and make it your choice of style or to keep it on a low by just adding Aztec details.

And if you want a big shroud or a kimono or some other statement piece than try to get your hands on the real thing (get it imported somehow), cause the high street ones looks cheap and are always way over the top.

I've picked some downplayed Aztec pieces which I think would be a great way to make the trend part of my closet without me looking like a rainbow on drugs.

Aztec necklace H&M divided  - 79,95 dkk

Aztec print top from Oasis - 363,62 dkk on asos.com

Tall Aztec Jacquard bodycon skirt from Topshop - 18 £

Li shirt from Gina Tricot - 249,00 dkk

Necklace from Zara - 17,99 £

Aztec print jumper from booho.com - 10 £

Dress from H&M Divided - 179 dkk

The pics are from the web shops of the brands

& Other Stories - Webshop Now Open!

The & other stories web shop is finally open. I got a pas to go pre-shopping yesterday from signing up to their newsletter but to be honest I had a busy day and sort of forgot about it :S Very unlike me.

The shop fortunately turned out to have a lot more stuff then what we've seen in the lookbook. Some of it is absolutely gorgeous. Some of it is all ready sold out though, but I guess that is to be expected. Other than nice designs the site also revealed the fact that & other stories will be selling more than there own products. For instance you can buy Nike sneaker at their stores.

I'm trying to save money for a trip to Ireland next month, which is why I haven't bought anything yet. I have picked some favorites though:
