While We Wait for Winter

I haven't posted in a couple of days because I was planning on posting an awesome pic of me in my new jacket, but since I haven't gotten it in the mail as fast as i thought it will have to wait.
I'm psyched about the jacket because it's very out of character for me (it's not black). I kind of like bringing a little color into the winter cause it's a depressing season really.

I thought this color would look awesome in snowy weather almost blending in with the snow and the sky. It's also perfect for creating contrasts - red lips ftw.

Here are some awesome(affordable high street)items for an icy blue look that I would absolutely love to have:

The pictures are from the brands' web stores and some of the prices are approximately.

Welcome Back Shoe Clips

I've just spotted these shoe clips in H&M and ofc I needed to have a pair!

On the pic I've clipped them on to my silver loafers (also) from H&M.

I remember having a couple of these when I was a kid because my friends' mother was clearing the shop where she worked and gave them to me. I've also more recently bought a pair on sale at Monki. Really underrates accessory. They can be used for practially anything and are great for all sorts of DIY.

To me they are just retro in the right way.

Black and Gold

For some reason we had awesome weather today. Perfect excuse to wear this top I bought yesterday from Monki (Julia blouse) - tribal meets glam. And it's on 50 %. The boots are also new bought them cheap at a supermarket (Bilka) but they are from the danish brand "Friis og Co." The rest of the outfit is H&M.

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M lookbook

The lookbook for the MMM/H&M collaboration has finally reached the internet. I must say I had really high hopes for this line but now that I've seen it I'm not totally loving it. I like deconstructionism normally, but with H&M being a high street brand and all I was expecting the design to be adjusted more to this range of customers (all though it is a good thing to stand by your fashion ideology ofc).Instead a lot of the pieces really stand out and you would get some seriously weird looks walking down the pavement in some of them AND they are pretty pricey

Never the less I've found 4 things that I do love and that if I get hold of some money unexpectedly I would stand in line for these:

I love this blazer. andronogyn but still fitted and looks like expensive tailoring.

I'm not sure if i can pull this one off but it is lovely. I love the colors and the pattern. Really versatile and be dressed up and down.

I don't like the skirt, that's just too much fabric. I love the shirt though (surprise, surprise). Nice collar and awesome twist with the bat wings.
The wool thingy they can keep, but I want that necklace (if it's affordable). Would look awesome with the long dress btw.

The pictures I've found at Vogue.uk and styleit

The Shirtless Collar

Bought this at the store 'handler' in Copenhagen. A lot of fun stuff in that store. I'm really amazed by these collars, cause they are perfect for diy and for wearing underneath something where you either can't fit a whole shirt or if it's too warm.

Vintage Thursday

Loving some sun after way too many rainy days! Wearing a vintage collar my mum had laying around for some reason and my grandmothers coat! Clothes with history ftw.

.. And yes, I do need to have my bangs cut.

Black is the New Black

I do have pastels and summerly clothes in my closet but I do feel much more at home in dark colors - especially black. I've always though it was stupid when people used the phrase "... is the new black". No it's not. There is never gonna be a new black, cause no other color does what black does.
This outfit is all about different textures but all in black.

Pants: H&M trend was 399,00 dkr, now 50 % off
Shirt: H&M trend
Jacket: H&M Trend AW2011
Knitted scarf: Monki AW2011
Ear Cuff: Monki 60,00 dkr
Shoes: Kvickly (danish food store)

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M Update

Pictures from MMM/H&M has finally been released (it's about time considering when it should be in stores). The pictures has been shot by Sam Taylor-Johnson and I actually really like the feel to them. Nice with something more edgy after the LdR fluffiness and the AdR extravaganza. I'm not dying to buy any of the pieces on these pics though (especially not the duvet thingy). I do like the black dress though and it seems like there is gonna be more of the collection along this line. Looking forward to more pics H&M!

AdR After All

All though I decided not to stand in line for AdR for h&m I ended up going with 2 friends anyways... Haha. The orange collar was by far the most popular piece! And now it's also part of my collection. :)

Wore another new neck today. Pink from h&m 99,00. And the spiked one is also h&m, can't remember the price.

Wonderful Vintage

Having parents who never throw stuff out has its upsides. Just found these two collars when I was home over the weekend. Nice.
